NTRK1 Homolog Domains
Discussion
Pfam and SMART were used to find the domains of the NTRK1 protein. The tyrosine kinase domain (TyrKc or Pfam A) is responsible for protein phosphorylation, which plays a key role in cellular processes including division, proliferation, apoptosis and differentiation. Phosphorylation usually results in a functional change of the target protein by changing enzyme activity, cellular location or association with other proteins. [1] The tyrosine kinase domain is highly conserved among NTRK1 homologs.
